What is Escreo Magnetic Writable Paint?

When these products are applied together, you can create dual-function surfaces to transform an area into a writable canvas that boasts magnetic properties.

These products can be used on any flat surface, including wood, metal, walls, glass, latex and hardboard. Transform doors, desk, countertops, cabinets and more – the possibilities are endless. Simply use a primer if you’re painting on anything other than interior paint and away you go.

First you apply the magnetic paint. Once dry you can paint over with a primer or any colour emulsion.

Once dry you top with the writeable paint - either white for a traditional whiteboard effect, or clear if you want to see the colour you applied over the magnetic paint.

How To Apply Escreo Magnetic Writable Paint

Step One - First you must apply the Magnito Magnetic paint

Make sure you have tape, 2 trays and 2 rollers. Buy from a local store or purchase the Escreo Installation Kit

 
Measure and frame with tape Ensure that the surface is smooth and even - lightly sand if necessary Place the protecting cover sheet for floor and furniture Put on gloves.
1. Open the Magnito tin with tin opener 1. Stir for 1 minute 3. Pour in tray 1 4. Use roller 1 to distribute paint evenly 
 
5. Make sure there is no undistributed area 6. Wait 30 minutes 7. User roller 1 to distribute 2nd layer of paint evenly 8. Wait 45 minuted
9. Use roller 1 to distribute 3rd layer of paint evenly 10. Wait 24 hours 11. Shake the primer for 1 minute 12. Open the primer
13. Pull the save cap 14. Pour in tray 2 15. Use roller 2 to distribute primer evenly 16. Make sure there is no undistributed area
Apply the colour of your choice.
17. Wait 30 minutes 18. Use roller 2 to distribute 2nd layer of primer evenly 19. Wait 60 minutes
Remove the tape Open the window if possible Let it dry for 48 hours Read and apply the maintenance guidelines.

Step Two (Optional) - Apply your colour

If you are going for the transparent paint, first apply the emulsion colour of your choice.

Step Three - Paint your surface with Whiteboard Paint

Once the previous layer is fully dry you can now apply the whiteboard paint. It doesn't matter if you have opted for WHITE or CLEAR finish, the process is the same.

Ensure all equipment is clean and dry before painting.
 
Put on gloves. Open tin A Open tin B Pull the save cap
Mix B into A Stir for 5 minutes Pour half of the liquid into tray Use roller 2 to distribute paint evenly
 
Wait 45 Mins Pour rest of liquid into tray 2 User roller 2 to distribute 2nd layer evenly All Done!
Remove the tape Open the window if possible Let it dry for 48 hours Read and apply the maintenance guidelines.

    How much Escreo Magnetic Writable Paint do I need?

    To calculate how much whiteboard paint you need, use a tape measure or meter stick to measure the height and width of the area you want covering and then multiply the two measurements:

    Height x width = coverage

    For example, if your wall is 1m high and 2m wide, you need 2 sq.m of whiteboard paint (1m x 2m = 2m²)

    Escreo Whiteboard Paint is dispatched via signed-for-courier. Standard shipping is 2-3 working days and is charged at £9.95 for orders under the value of £80 + VAT. For orders over this value, shipping is provided free of charge. This will be automatically applied at the checkout.

    This item is not available on next-day or timed delivery.

    You have 14 days to change your mind about a product. Unused items can be returned for a full refund. Please notify our team via email within 14 days of receipt of the goods. SketchPaint can only be returned if you are returning an unused, unopened tin. If it has been opened it cannot be returned as it is unfit for resale.

    Items that have been damaged in transit will be replaced or refunded as long as you have signed for the item as DAMAGED on receipt of goods (or refused the delivery) and taken photographs of both the packaging and the damage to the product, as per the rules of the couriers.

    FAQs

    • Do I need to apply primer/undercoat?

      Escreo Whiteboard paint generally doesn't require a primer or undercoat before application, as long as you’re painting on top of existing paint.

      If you are painting over existing/old paint we suggest smoothing the surface with sandpaper first. If you’re painting over a brand new wall or drywall/plasterboard we recommend using a suitable primer for the surface.

    • Do I need to buy double the amount of paint if I’m applying two coats?

      No. Your ESCREO order contains enough paint to apply two coats, as long as you measure your surface correctly and apply the paint following the step-by-step instructions in your kit and on our "Application" page. Please do not dilute or mix the paint with other products as this may affect performance.

    • How long does the whiteboard paint last?

      ESCREO comes with a full, no-matter-what, 1-year warranty and a 10-year limited warranty that your whiteboard paint will retain its original appearance and functionality.

      We recommend routine cleaning and using appropriate dry-wipe markers to extend the life of your dry erase surfaces to over three years.
