Create your own studio

Keep it looking sleek

Whether it's YouTube, TikTok or short movie production- we have the paint for you! Whether you're a musician, podcaster, content creator, artist, or even someone looking for a well-equipped space for remote work, a home studio can be a valuable investment.  So look no further and create your professional content straight from your living room with green Screen paint.

What are the benefits of Green screen paint...

  • Digital editing at your fingertips:  If you have a currently vacant wall why not try using green screen paint to make use of the space and create your own digital content in-house.
  • Cost Savings: Building a home studio can be more cost-effective in the long run compared to renting or booking studio time.
  • Better than a screen: Painting the wall avoids trip hazards that you would get from material screens, there will be no wrinkles to distort the visuals, and the paint is cheaper than purchasing a large screen.
  • Learning and Skill Development: Operating your own home studio provides an opportunity to learn about recording, production, editing, and other technical skills.
  • Go green: Green screen paint is environmentally friendly and safe to apply indoors.

Shooting home video using green screen paint

How does it work...

By filming a character or object in front of the green wall, you can add any desired background later using the Chromakey technique. Make sure the subject in front of your greenscreen background is not green or that persons are not wearing green clothing. In addition, the lighting needs to be set accordingly.

There can be no shadows on the background. That is why an object often has to be at least three meters away from the screen, and you also need lighting from the rear. Take into account that fluttering hairs often cause problems; they are too thin to be perceived by the computer, which may cause the hairs to disappear.

Use a video editing programme – such as Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie, Magix Video Deluxe, Pinnacle Studio Plus, Sony Vegas, etc. - to add any desired background to your video.

Get the Look!

1. Ensure the finished/ painted wall is smooth and free from holes. Wipe down the wall with a damp cloth to clean.

2.Open the Green screen paint and stir thoroughly until the paint is a uniform consistency.

3. Pour some paint onto a roller tray and saturate the roller

4.  Remove excess paint from the roller.

5.Apply the Green screen paint to the wall in long lanes from top to bottom and re-roll in one direction. 6. Install1-2 coats allowing for adequate drying time (approx 4 hours depending on conditions)- with a light sand in between each coat.
7. And voila! The wall is ready to use.

Some other points to think of...

When creating your home studio there are a few other things to consider:

  • To ensure you have good acoustics to prevent echo around the room, why not try some accoustic panels or artwork to keep that echo at bay.
  • Everyone needs the perfect lighting, try some natural lighting by a window or use a table top or floor standing ring light to illuminate the way.
  • Get your hands on a good quality camera or phone with a tripod to keep things in place- no one likes shaky footage.
  • Get some cozy furniture that looks professional, and that is adjustable in order to place yourself at the right height for the video.
